Enon Church - Community Church Quilt

Carol Sue came up to Oakland this week and told mom about a quilt that had sold at an auction selling antiques from Ralph Rhodens estate.  The quilt has families from the neighborhood down by Enon Church in Ashmore Township stiched on it.  Mom called the antique dealer that had bought it and now the family has the quilt.  We believe it was made prior to 1925 because mom saw a name on here of her great aunt,
Rome Pollard Wright.  Rome died in 1925.

This is my great grand parents Sylvester and Cleta Coartney and their sons Cyril, Wayne (my grandpa) and Carlos.
James and Sallie Blake would be my Great Great Grandparent.  Cleta Coartney was their daughter.

Mary Brooks is my mom's Great Grandma.  Grandma Coartney's grandmother.   She is buried at Ashmore cemetary clear at the back of the cemetary.  Kristyn puts flowers on the grave every year.

Orin and Dottie Prince were Grandma Coartney's cousins.

W.H. Strader was Jr Strader's dad.  (Grandma Coartney's neighbor)

John and May Sweeney were Rex Sweeney's mom and dad so this would be Jerry Sweeney's great grandparents.  May Sweeney stayed to help Grandma Coartney when my mother was born in 1937.
Pretty interesting stuff wouldn't you say.  We'll get more pictures and information on here shortly.
