Kristyn and her sack of clothes

Carolyn Hanner has a grand-daughter that is just a little older
than Kristyn. About every month or so Carolyn brings
Kristyn a sack of clothes.

It's really fun watching her. It's just like Christmas.

She's not sad that is her pouty look for pictures.

Vacation 2007

We started our vacation by heading to Indianapolis for mom and dad to attend the wedding of mom's best friends grand-daughters.

Then we headed
to Kentucky.

We stopped at Stacy
and Connie's and got to visit
with baby Cate, the boy's were gone.
Stephanie came over to say hello too.

After leaving we headed to Frankfort
to look up the house where Joe lived
when he was 5. He drove us right to
it. Then he took us to this bridge.
This is where he was baptised. Not
to bad considering he lived there
from the age of 5 to 8 and hadn't
been back since.

Next we traveled to Lexington to
visit a friend. When we left we headed for
Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg
on Tuesday. We checked out
the Cumberland Gap. That was beautiful.

When we got to Virginia we visited
with family checked out some
antique shops. The boys went
to the farm and had a good time
too. One day we went to see Jama
at her home. We also toured the
campus of Virginia Tech and the
log cabins at the site of the farm
where the McCormick reaper was
invented. We checked out the
Floyd Friday Jamboree and the
went back to Uncle Jimmy and
Aunt Janice's to hear Andy and
Audrey play mandolin and guitar
and sing. We voted it was better than the Jamboree.

Wilson even played the fiddle and Jeff sang with her.

First day of School

The grandkids started preschool at Small Blessings today. We are so thankful for this Christian preschool and Ms Prudy too. She pours her heart out to teach these "little sponges" as she calls them. This first quarter they are learning about the rain forrest. It's really exciting to see how the adult Sunday school room changed from a classroom/kitchen to a rain forrest over night. A big tree and all.

Little Pigs

I just love little pigs. Reminds me of being a little girl when dad was raising feeder pigs.
I was on my way to work this morning and saw Billy's baby pigs in the lot. I just has to stop and take a picture. I would have gotten closer but they would have run off.

This is really a good memory.
