My Daughter in law.

Just wanted to give a shout out to my very talented daughter-in-law.  She definitely has a gift for sewing.  When she found out she was going to be an aunt again she told her sister she would make the baby bedding.  They went shopping and found the perfect material.  Bright and bold and girly.  She whipped up the bedskirt, sheet & bumper pad in no time.  It was the hit of Gwen's baby shower.  Then Gwen approached her about a bassinet she had.  She was wondering if Sarah could help make it match the bedding.  Well the super sister she is yes Sarah fixed it up.

She has now offered to make Amanda's baby bedding.  Yes you heard that right she's going to be an Aunt twice in 1 year.  Both girls.

Easter 2015

Easter celebration in Oakland starts with "Breakfast with the Easter Bunny".  Event is put on by the Oakland FFA.  Grandson #1 was chosen by the 4H group to be the Easter Bunny this year.  He volunteered to help the FFA too.

From the breakfast he moved up to the City Square where the Oakland Chamber of Commerce and the Oakland 4H put on a fantastic Easter Egg Hunt.  Again Clayton was strolling through the crowd visiting with the little ones and getting his picture taken.

He even got his picture taken with his favorite spectator. Grandma Betty.

Sunday morning Church and then on to dad's house for lunch.  We've had a picnic lunch for years.  They we normally help out around the house.  This year the boys split dad's wood pile.
After lunch we had a splendid Easter egg hunt.

Sarah brought the desert.  One of the special treats she brought was "hamburger cookies".  This was something special her mom used to make when she and her sisters were little girls.
