My Christmas Present

I'll share one of my Christmas presents with you.
The girls decided to have pictures taken last
weekend. Braden would not cooperate so he
doesn't have a single one. One of my favorites
is the one of Clayton hugging his brother. What I
have now found out is Clayton's job was to HOLD him
down.

Santa did come to town.

We got up at 6am took the ham out of the oven and
headed to Charleston. Got Brad and Sarah out of bed.
The boys opened their Santa gifts, and on the road we go.

Next stop Hindsboro. We did give Jeri and Chris a
call so they would be up and Kristyn opened her Santa
gifts.

We think they all did pretty good. And tomorrow
we have a birthday. Kristyn will be 4 tomorrow.

Christmas day

For the first time my kids were coming home for
Christmas lunch. Even though they live close and we
always see them we usually go to my mom and dads.

After lunch it's time for presents. We're all
waiting quietly.

Now were ready to open. And when we're all through.

Grandma Martha and her digital picture frame and Braden with his Chicken race game.

Joe's Aunt Carlene and Uncle Douglas

We got a call from Carlene saying she was in Paris
and would like to visit with us. So Wednesday night
we went to Paris after work to meet Carlene and Douglas.

Joe didn't remember meeting them before, all they could
see was the little 4 year old boy they remembered.

They filled us in on a lot of things about Joe's life in Kentucky.
Where he lived, who he lived with, etc. It's really nice to finally
know something about your family.
We had a really nice visit. Thank you Carlene and Douglas for
calling. Your visit was a true blessing.

Just some Thanksgiving pictures

Thanksgiving is always fun when cousins come
to visit. Noah and Jesse.

Kristyn learning Grandma Martha's secret dressing
recipe.

Julie, Noah, Kendra and Kristyn. The Thompsons
came from Iowa.

Rue Ann came from Ohio.

Kristyn, Jeri and Aunt Jan

Uncle Kenny, Aunt Jan and Rue Ann came down
for a short visit before lunch. They were having lunch
at Rusty and Jill's. It was sure good to see them.

Cooking the turkey's. Dad has been deep fat frying
our turkey's last year and again this year since it
was such a hit.

I didn't get picturs of everyone that was here but we
really enjoyed the family time.

Grandma's Angels

After I took their picture Kristyn wanted to take mine.

2007 Womens Retreat

November 17th was the Antioch Church's annual Womens Retreat.
Decorations compliments of Prudy and Emily Wynn.

Started out with a light breakfast at around 9am. Some good fellowship and lots of laughs.

Our speaker was Linda Lewis. She is a riot. Great message on the harvest and spreading seeds.
Then lunch was served. Kay Cox did a great job on the meal.

Next was crafts. This year we made holiday wreaths. Had a choice of fall or Christmas. We even had a choice of "WEDDING".
See the rock on Emily's hand. Her wedding is in June and they made their wreaths for centerpieces. Emily's aunt, the wedding flower lady, is making Dorothy Tibbs wreath.

Linda Richards making a Christmas wreath.

The Wedding wreaths.

Patty talking with her design team about her wreath. And now the finished product.

Teamwork!!!!

Cindy and her Christmas Bling.

Some of the finished products. I think I was the only one
to make a fall wreath.
