Christmas in January

For Christmas we bought the grandkids and their parents tickets to the Monster Jam Nationals.  It was being held at the Assembly Hall in Champaign.  Wow BIG trucks in a small arena.  I always thought the Assembly Hall looked huge but not with those BIG trucks in there.  Notice how close they are when they finally stop.

We had great seats.  Section A row 8 and 9.

These were the little ones driven by a 7 year old, a 9 year old and a 16 year old.  Pretty crazy.

Star Marshall driven by a 17 year old young man.
Chalkboard Chuck.  They kids got to sign this one with chalk.
Lucas Oil Stabilizer.  Driven by the father of the 17 year old.

The winner of the night the Raminator driven by a guy from Champaign.

Ear plugs were our friends for the evening.  Everyone had a wonderful time.  Another awesome Christmas present.
Randoms of the day.  Headed down to meet the drivers.  They are all wondering around in that sea of people.
 Pictures on the red carpet.
In front of one of the mini trucks.  Even as a mini it was pretty big.
And last but not least cotton candy, yummmmm!

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you

Seventy Six years since the day you were born.
Seventy Six toots on that ole birthday horn.

Seventy Six candles on your birthday cake.
Seventy Six hugs sent to heavens gate.

Seventy Six smiles thinking of you today.
Seventy Six tear drops each and every day.

As today comes and goes and tomorrow too.
Seventy Six years was just way to few.

Love you mom,
Kathy

Baby Shower for Lindy Lou

Kristyn decided to host a baby shower for Sarah.  Sarah and Brad and expecting a little girl.  All of their baby things were for boys.  So 9 year old Kristyn decided to fix that.  She made the decorations.  Made the invitations.  Called the preacher to see if she could use the church.  Baked and decorated the cupcakes.  Basically she did it all.  What a nice shower/party she hosted.

Big brothers Clayton and Braden helped with the set up.

She even painted a name sign for baby Lindy.

Sarah and Kristyn posing just before gifts were opened.
Thank you everyone, baby Lindy will be dressed to the nines.
