Christmas Day

This was our Christmas day.

Heading down to Brad and Sarah's to watch the boys open Santa gifts.

When we got to the boys house Braden was eating cookies for breakfast.

And now we're at Little Miss Biggs' house for Santa gifts too.

Whoo Hoo a play dough ice cream maker. She smiled just after the flash went off.

2pm everyone is home. Braden is down for a quick nap before presents.

Sunday Morning

After church this morning we got the kids up front to take some pictures in front of the Christmas tree at church. Kind of a tradition. Not sure how we got such good pictures they weren't very cooperative. (They had been given candy by Justin and Treva just a few minutes before)

In front of the cardboard fireplace. The Christmas program was this morning by the Jr & Sr high classes. They really did a good job the little ones really enjoyed it.

Santa lives at the North Pole.
JESUS is everywhere.

Santa comes but once a year

Santa comes down your chimney uninvited
JESUS stands at your door and knocks.. and then enters your heart.
You have to stand in line to see Santa
JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.
Santa lets you sit on his lap
JESUS lets you rest in His arms.
Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is "Hi little boy or girl, What's your name?"
JESUS knew our name before we did. Not only does He know our name, He knows our address too. He knows our history and future and He even knows how many hairs are on our heads.
Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly
JESUS has a heart full of love.
All Santa can offer is HO HO HO
JESUS offers health, help and hope.
Santa says "You better not cry"
JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you.
Santa's little helpers make toys
JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and builds mansions.
Santa may make you chuckle but
JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.
While Santa puts gifts under your tree
JESUS became our gift and died on the tree.
It's obvious there is really no comparison.
We need to remember WHO Christmas is all about.
We need to put Christ back in Christmas.
Jesus is still the reason for the season.

May the Lord Bless and Watch over you and your loved ones this Christmas 2008
And may He prosper and bless the work of your hands in the New Year

Clayton and Kristyn were sooooo excited to see Santa, BUT Braden this is about as close as he wanted to get. He wasn't scared of him but he didn't want anything to do with him.
