Tree of Life

I've been teaching the Jr High-High School class at church last year and again this year.  This was our project for the last year.  It was the tree of life.  Starting with the ROOTS.  The roots are strong and sturdy they hold the tree firm.  "God is the roots".  As the tree grows, you grow.  From a small sapling (young child) to a tree that has a few years on it (teenager) to a large full grown tree (adult).  All the branches are your life in Christ.  The trunk is your salvation, hopefully you'll be standing tall and strong just like the sturdy tree.  The branches are you life family, friends, school, jobs, where ever life takes you these branches reflect you and what you've done with your life.  The knotholes & bugs are the events in life that the devil puts out there to try to rot you to the core, but if you stand strong with those roots (God) that nasty old knothole will not hurt that big ole tree.

So in a "NUTSHELL" (pun intended) this was our class project.  Each week we added something to our Tree of Life from our lesson.  My prayer for each of my students is that they will grow sturdy and strong just like that ole Oak tree.
Here was our tree, covering the whole wall.  More signs on the other walls and the celing tool.

Forgive these people, because they don't know what they are doing.  Luke 23:24

One of your lessons:  Don't Sneak out - Speak out.

This last year has been a blessing to me to watch these young adults grow as they head to adulthood.  Three of my students graduate this May and will be heading to college.  I pray they remember their roots!
