A day at the museum.

Promissed to take the grandkids on an adventure this summer.  On one of our many "galavanting" trips with mom and dad we saw this neat looking childrens museum in downtown Terre Haute Indiana.  So after driving Kristyn nuts about where we were going on our adventure we finally had a day that we could all go.  Sunday morning we loaded up and headed east.  First stop of the day was my personal favorite IHOP.  Then we headed down town.  Had to wait about 10 minutes for it to open.  The kids had so much fun.  While we were inside we got a much needed rain also.  Only problem was Brad had left his Jeep outside with the top off.  Said he had some water in the floor boards but everything else was ok.
Getting ready to go in.  I know the pictures are out of order but that will keep you interested (I hope)

Braden and grandpa Joe flying paper airplanes.

The air cannons in the top of the 3 story tree house.

Clayton at the base of the tree house.

Pretty cool thing they were raising the big hoop up and making a BIG bubble around themselves.  They played there for quite a while.

Diggin for dinasaur bones.

The top looking down.

The farmall tractor, life size.

Clayton spraying water in the aquatics section.

Brad making electricity and lighting the building.

Braden pumping up the pressure suit in the aviation display.  What he was really interested in was "Are his eyes popping out grandma?".

I think this must be one of those "Campbell Show Pigs".

Glad to see they have a RED combine and tractor.

Kristyn thought milking the cow was the best thing.  Then she proceeded to tell me that they were squirting each other.

GSI is the bin company that Ronnie works for so we thought that was pretty cool too.

After we left the museum we went to a place called Inland Aquatics.  It's nothing but an exotic fish store.  I think the kids (young and old) liked this as much or more than the museum.  It was a big warehouse full and I mean full of fish tanks.  Lots of salt water fish.  They must ship all over the place because I can't imagine there being a market for that many fish, coral and live plants in this area alone.  The kids got to see 3 sting rays, a puffer fish, some eels and even some frogs.  Some of the tanks looked like the size of a hot tub for your back yard.  Others were probably stand up shower stalls with glass fronts.  One of those had a HUGE cat fish in it.

Anyway we all had a good day.
