Apple Cider Time

Sunday we decided to make apple cider. We picked the apples off my tree's Saturday and were ready to go after church and lunch. The kids all came up and Chris' dad even came out. He had never seen apple cider made so he was just like the kids, excited.

Our cider press is a family heirloom. It's over 100 years old. Dad had it rebuilt a few years ago so all the wood is semi-new and we had to have the handle welded this year.

Braden climbed the ladder and picked his own apple. (Hope they wiped it off before he tore into it.)
The big kids figured out how to climb the tree's them selves this year.

Grandma Coartney even stopped by for a visit. Aunt Janice, Uncle Kenny and Rue Ann picked her up after church took her to lunch in Ashmore and then they stopped by for a visit. Really good to see everyone.
